A new 30-year study shows that unhappy people watch an estimated 20% more television than happy people. The study was conducted by John Robinson and Steven Martin from the University of Maryland. Robinson and Martin examined the activity patterns of people in the General Social Survey between 1975 and 2006, and determined that happy people read more newspapers, attend more religious services, socialize more, and are more likely to vote.
The question is- Is television making people depressed or are unhappy people drawn to the television? What do you think?

Eco Bikes: The Neodymics Cyclemotor An ugly makeover to electrify your bike
Eco Factor: Electric Bicycle conversion kit.
While bicycling is good for you and the environment, there are still some lazy people who dont want to pedal all the way to the nearest store. This Neodymics Cyclemotor kit is just for those who need some mechanical aid for everything they have.
The Neodymics Cyclemotor is a one-piece electric motor kit that can be installed on any bike in a mere 40 seconds. It replaces the front tire of your bike with a smaller tire for more control. The throttle and other controls are placed on top of the kit to match the position of your handlebars. While the addition of this ugly electric engine will make your life a bit more relaxed, its smaller tire will make sure you dont fall down while trying to overtake a superbike.
The 1 hp dual-speed motor gives you a maximum speed of 20 mph over a range of 20 miles after an hour of charging. The kit comes with speed control, cruise control, and a charge indicator.
The Dark Side:
The kit has been made without taking the looks into consideration, the cover of the electric engine adds to the already horrible looks. Moreover, the front wheel drive can cause some problems if you intend to take a racing spree downhill.

Do You Have A Theme Song?

If you cared to listen I could probably take you on a journey through my life with music alone. Pop in an MC Hammer song and it’ll throw me back to my friends and I making up dance steps on the playground. A little Bob Marley reminds me of the summer I first fell in love. But, put on a Papa Roach hit and waves of frustration and self doubt flush my system. Many events in my life have gone fuzzy over the years, but music has a way of imprinting memories like no other. Not only do the images come back, but often times the emotions tied to them.
Digging through my iPod the other day I was amazed at how much of an influence music has had on my life. When things get tough I turn to certain albums or artists who either inspire or relate with my current situation. Typically blasting the same songs over and over until I can let go and push forward with confidence and a new attitude. The only problem… now that entire Pink album reminds me of my break-up. So I’ve smartened up about this whole music memory connection and have decided to use tunes to inspire and remind me what’s important in life.
For the first time in my life I have a theme song!! Up to this point I never found a song that nailed down exactly what I need motivation wise.
Drum roll please….

No it’s not some underground unheard of tune. It’s mainstream, but who the hell cares! It’s message is fantastic! All we can do is live and enjoy our lives. That is our only job in this world. To live in the present moment, appreciate those moments, and let others do the same.
What’s your theme song? What about that song keeps you amped? Share so we can all add it to our iPods.
